Mathematics Without Borders Tournament 2025/2026 Autumn Round (Bulgaria)

Mathematics without Borders International Tournament (MWBIT) is the oldest mathematics competition in European history. MWB, where statistics rank European countries, results are relevant. All MWB exam questions are designed by Bulgaria. The exam questions are rigorous and comply with the mathematics curriculum rules of European schools, allowing participating students to have different and diverse experiences.

During the last 11 years, since 2013, Bulgaria has been the host of Mathematics Without Borders International Tournament for students aged 7 to 18. During those 11 years, the tournament has become one of the biggest contests in Bulgaria, as well as worldwide, in terms of participant numbers and number of participating countries from 5 continents.

We kindly invite you to join the 13th edition of the tournament during the 2025/2026 academic year as Malaysia team. Furthermore, we will invite candidates with excellent result to join next OMC competition.

MWB 2025/2026 Autumn Round is an online competition.

You can join at home or any convenient venue.

You need a computer equipped with functioning mic and camera with fast & stable internet connection.

Exam Date: 2-11-2025, Sunday

Registration Fee: Fee is RM80.00 per candidate

Category: Candidate born in Year 2007 to Year 2018

Language Of Paper: English as main + Malay translation + Chinese translation (within the same question)

If there is any inconsistency between the English version of a question and other language versions, the English version shall prevail.

Total Number Of Questions: 20

Answer Format: Open answer (short answer questions)

Time allowed to answer questions: 60 minutes

In case of an equal number of points, the higher ranked candidate will be the one who has spent less time solving the problems.

System will open from 10am – 9pm on exam day. Need to submit answers before 9pm.

Scoring Criteria

Each correct answer gets 2 points.

If there is more than one answer and at least half of the answers are correct, or if, together with the correct answer, there is also a wrong answer, you will get 1 point.

If these is a wrong or missing answer, you will get 0 points.

Candidates who won Gold, Silver and Bronze are qualified to join Final round at Nessebar, Bulgaria with registration fee during 4 July – 7 July 2026.

There is no replacement exam under any circumstances of absentee.
No fee will be refund.
No reschedule of exam.
Please join the exam on the date and time allowed only.
The organizing committee reserved the final decision-making rights on all disputes.

MWB Final Round 2025

Students who are eligible to compete for the International/Final Rounds are those who garnered Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals in the MWB Autumn Round 2025, Winter Round 2025 and Spring Round 2026. Participation in the International Round is voluntary in nature. Registration fee and details will be announced together with after announcement of Spring Round 2026 result.
