International STEM Olympiad

International STEM Olympiad is an online international competition where students from grades 1 to 12 participate, with questions designed according to the principles of STEM education.

The International STEM Olympiad is designed for students who are passionate about STEM but face challenges in accessing materials and STEM-focused questions. Through this Olympiad, students will not only explore STEM-related topics and questions but also experience the excitement of competing and earning awards on a global stage.

Additionally, the International STEM Olympiad offers students interactive training portals as a valuable learning resource. Through these portals, students can observe how both technology and traditional teaching methods enhance their learning experience.

Baxter Training & Consultancy is the country representative for International STEM Olympiad for students currently studying in  Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. Students who are qualified will be invited to compete in the Final Round as Baxter team for FREE (Online).

THE International STEM Olympiad AIMS TO:
  1. to change students’ perspectives on life by demonstrating that what they learn in school has practical, real-world applications.
  2. encouraged students to move beyond the common question, “What use is this subject to me?” and develop a deeper appreciation for the value of the lessons taught in school through encountering real-life questions.
  3. inspire curiosity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ultimately fostering a mindset where students see the interconnectedness of their education with the world around them. This comprehensive approach aims to cultivate a lifelong passion for learning and empower students to become innovative thinkers and leaders in their respective fields.

There are total 3 subjects which include Science, Mathematics and Technology & Engineering. Students can choose to join 1, 2 or all 3 subjects. Details are as listed below:

** Students may take the exams either once on their preferred date or twice across both days for each of the 3 categories.

Fee is RM120.00 per subject per candidate per exam

Category: Grade 1 to Grade 12 (Primary 1 to A-Levels/STPM) ** choose base on grade after 12-1-2026

What to prepare for qualification round exam?

Exams are monitored through a camera system integrated into the exam platform. Students must use a device with an active, functioning camera and mic with stable internet connectivity throughout the exam. Meanwhile, the exam portal will also record the candidate screen activities for exam security during the exam. So you have to make sure your device, browser, internet connection, camera and screen sharing meet the technical requirements and are properly set up for a smooth and uninterrupted exam experience.

Awards

– The top 15% of the participants will receive a Digital Gold Medal Certificate and a Digital Achievement Certificate.
– The next 15-35% of the participants will receive a Digital Silver Medal Certificate and a Digital Achievement Certificate.
– The next 35-60% of the participants will receive a Digital Bronze Medal Certificate and a Digital Achievement Certificate.
– The next 60-80% of the participants will receive a Digital Honorable Medal Certificate and a Digital Achievement Certificate.
– The last 80-100% of the participants will receive Digital Participation Certificates only. 

Students who are qualified will be invited to compete in the Final Round as Baxter Team for FREE.

Please take note of the following:
  • The use of calculators, books, printed materials and dictionaries is strictly prohibited during the exam.
  • Opening any browser tab other than the exam tab will trigger a notification to the exam center and a warning will appear on the screen. Such actions may result in the cancellation of your exam results.
  • The use of AI tools to answer exam questions is strictly prohibited. The exam center employs advanced monitoring and analysis to detect irregular or AI-generated responses. Any attempt to use AI assistance will result in the immediate cancellation of exam results and disqualification from the Olympiad.
  • All exam activity will be recorded. Any detected cheating will result in disqualification and cancellation of exam results.

  2. No fee will be refund.
  3. No reschedule of exam.
  4. Please join the exam on the date and time allowed only.
  5. The organizing committee reserved the final decision-making rights on all disputes.
